Led by GRAMMY-winning pianist, composer, and arranger John Beasley, the Unlimited Miles Sextet celebrates the boundless legacy of Miles Davis in his centennial in 2026. Featuring an all-star lineup, the group reimagines Davis’ ever-evolving sound, exploring his music from bebop to fusion and beyond.
Beasley, began his career in his 20s backing jazz icons Miles Davis and Freddie Hubbard, which led to a storied career spanning work with Christian McBride, Chaka Khan, and Dianne Reeves, Kenny Garrett, as well as his acclaimed big band MONK’estra. His deep connection to Davis’ music brings a fresh yet authentic perspective to this electrifying new sextet.
The Unlimited Miles Sextet will release an album on Mack Avenue Records in 2026, followed by a worldwide tour.
